Sant'Antonio- bless this little beast

Never chain your dogs together with sausages.
One must accustom one's self to be bored.
Only DuPont was bored this afternoon as I read each Some Pig post and got to meet some new neighbors in my long village. Thank you all from Diva and Me.

It was such a thrill to see you featured on Rick Stein's French Odessy screened on NZ TV this week. I had hoped to win your prize in Pim's raffle and donate it to friends living in Pau. Sadly I was not the lucky winner but hope to visit your area in 2007.

Ms. Hoyt - just wanted to say, I've enjoyed your work for years. Please see digital point forums, chat, my posts and "kungfoodie's" blog for some accolades your way, and on food in general. Yours is a life I've loved, vicariously - as the first owner/chef to open a French bistro in the northern outpost of the Upper Peninsula, Michigan, we failed gloriously - gloriously, because we cut no corners, failed, because this is the land of the Cornish Pastie. You really have enriched my life as a chef and as a romantic. I watch Le Chateau de Ma Mere, watch them walking the locks of their Bartavelle-rich canal lands, and I, and I say this without hyperbole, cannot help but think of you and your work. Care to take a family, including two dogs, from the frozen tundra to your paradisical waterways?

My warmest, most heartfelt wishes for continued fortune and joy. Paul Smith, formerly of Waterstone, Marquette, Michigan.
